Art Deco Wall Art in Gold

Art Deco took its name from the 1925 Paris exhibition of decorative arts, but its look was everywhere in the years between the wars: on cinema fronts, ocean liners, perfume bottles and travel posters. It loved symmetry, stepped shapes, sunbursts and the shine of metal against black lacquer. The six works in this collection are new designs in that style. A bronze-gold sunburst rises like an ornament on a doorway, a peacock fans its tail in gold lines, a flapper in a beaded headband turns in profile, an imaginary skyline glows under searchlights, a black panther walks through gold palm fronds and a fountain falls in three tiers beneath nested arches.

Gold on black gives the set a sense of evening, which suits a dining room, a bar corner, a hallway or a dressing room. The posters work alone, but they are designed to hang together: the peacock and the panther share their emerald greens, the sunburst and the fountain mirror each other's symmetry. Brass or black frames finish the look. Every work is a printable download: a 7168 × 10752 px file that prints sharply to about 60 × 90 cm, a Frame TV version with a gallery mat and a licence certificate.
