Around 1900 Paris fell in love with a new kind of picture: tall decorative panels in which a young woman, framed by a halo and surrounded by flowers, stood for a season, a gem or a time of day. Alphonse Mucha made the style his own, and printed his panels as colour lithographs so that ordinary homes could afford them. The six works in this collection are new compositions in that spirit. Each one has a muse, a circle or arch of ornament behind her head and a single flower or motif that carries the colour: emerald with a white lily, violet with irises, peach with morning glories, navy with a crescent moon, terracotta with autumn leaves and copper with gold stars.

The pictures are drawn with the clean outlines of a lithograph and finished with gold leaf on the halos, stars and ornament, so they sit as comfortably in a modern bedroom as in a period hallway. Hung as a pair or a set of three, they tell a small story of their own, from morning to night. Every work is a printable download: a 7168 × 10752 px file that prints sharply to about 60 × 90 cm, a Frame TV version with a gallery mat and a licence certificate.
