Bird Wall Art in Gold

Bird Wall Art in Gold

Before photography, birds were known through hand-coloured plates: engravings in which every feather was drawn and then tinted by hand. The six works in this collection borrow that tradition and add a little gold. A turquoise kingfisher waits above still water, a barn owl sits among dark oak leaves at night, a goldfinch clings to a thistle, a golden pheasant stands in a fern thicket, a grey heron waits among the reeds and three swallows fly through apple blossom.

The backgrounds range from deep teal, navy and forest green to warm cream and pale sky blue, so the set can follow the colour of a room: the dark ones for a study or a dining room, the light ones for a hallway, a kitchen or a child's room. Together they make an easy gallery wall. Every work is a printable download: a 7168 × 10752 px file that prints sharply to about 60 × 90 cm, a Frame TV version with a gallery mat and a licence certificate.
