Celestial Wall Art in Gold

Celestial Wall Art in Gold

For most of history the sky was the first picture book. Old almanacs, star atlases and alchemical prints drew the sun and the moon with human faces, filled the dark with engraved stars and turned the constellations into animals and heroes. The six works in this collection borrow that language and finish it in gold. A sleeping sun and moon rest cheek to cheek, a gold crescent hangs above a sea of clouds, a gilded sun looks straight out of the black, nine moons wax and wane in a single column, a star chart circles a radiant sun and an open hand reaches up towards a thin new moon.

Most of the set is drawn in fine engraved lines, so the pictures look calm from across the room and reveal more detail the closer you stand. Navy and black backgrounds make the gold glow in a bedroom, a reading corner or a hallway, and the minimal moon phases sit well beside the busier star chart. Hung in pairs or as a set of three, they make a quiet night sky on the wall. Every work is a printable download: a 7168 × 10752 px file that prints sharply to about 60 × 90 cm, a Frame TV version with a gallery mat and a licence certificate.
