DA VINCI REIMAGINED
The Codex Nautilus
Da Vinci Reimagined in the Golden Spiral
Half notebook page, half finished plate. A nautilus opens out across the right in teal and gold leaf while the left stays as working drawings — figures, marginalia and a column of numbers in a hand nobody was meant to read.
The spiral is the real subject. Each chamber steps out by the same ratio as the last, so the eye keeps travelling outward and never finds an edge to stop at.
