A face from the Florentine workshops, turned in profile and caught half-finished — the compass work still drawn across her rather than rubbed out. Ochre parchment, slate-blue drapery, hair the colour of oxidised copper.
The circles are the construction, not the ornament. Every arc lands on a feature, which is why she reads as calm rather than posed. It holds a hallway or a study wall where someone will stop and look twice.
