Eucalyptus in Gold and Sage — Samsung Frame TV art, 3840 × 2160
How large can I print it?

The file is around 9,000 px on the long edge. That prints crisply to about 75 cm on the long edge at gallery quality, and to 130–170 cm at the distance you look at a picture over furniture. Sizes, paper and framing, in detail →

Which paper or surface?

Gold on dark grounds wants a matte or satin fine-art paper (200–310 gsm), or aluminium for humid rooms; glossy photo paper turns the black into a mirror. The pale works also take satin and baryta papers.

Which licence do I need?

Personal (€9.99) covers your own home and gifts. Any business or space open to the public — a spa, clinic, hotel, office, restaurant — needs the commercial licence (€99.99, one venue, no renewal). The venue guide →

About this work

Two thin stems grow upward from the bottom edge, close together, one slightly taller than the other. Their round leaves are spaced out generously, so a lot of pale linen shows between them. The colours alternate in a clear pattern: deep sage and bottle-green leaves with soft highlights, then leaves covered in bright gold leaf with crisp veins, then green again. The gold ones sit mostly on the left and upper right, which balances the picture. The background is a light, warm grey-beige with the woven texture of linen and no shadows, so the stems look pressed and flat, like a botanical specimen. The effect is clean, light and slightly graphic.

Sage green has become one of the defining colours of calm, nature-inspired homes, and major paint makers keep choosing green tones for their colours of the year. It sits halfway between grey and green, so it works with wood, linen, stone and brass alike. Botanical illustration has a long history of this flat, specimen-like style: plates in old herbals and natural history books showed a single stem on blank paper so every leaf could be studied. This picture borrows that clarity and adds gold leaf, turning a scientific layout into decoration. The alternating rhythm of green and gold is simple enough to sit beside almost any other art without competing.

Its narrow, upright composition is good for a hallway, the wall beside a door or a home office. Warm white, greige and sage walls suit it best, and it looks especially calm next to natural wood furniture. A thin oak or black frame both work; add a wide white mat for a gallery look. Combine it with The Sage Eucalyptus Stem for a green-and-gold pair, or with Whispering Eucalyptus for a softer duo. The file supports clean prints up to roughly 91 cm long at 300 dpi.
