How large can I print it?

The file is around 9,000 px on the long edge. That prints crisply to about 75 cm on the long edge at gallery quality, and to 130–170 cm at the distance you look at a picture over furniture. Sizes, paper and framing, in detail →

Which paper or surface?

Gold on dark grounds wants a matte or satin fine-art paper (200–310 gsm), or aluminium for humid rooms; glossy photo paper turns the black into a mirror. The pale works also take satin and baryta papers.

Which licence do I need?

Personal (€9.99) covers your own home and gifts. Any business or space open to the public — a spa, clinic, hotel, office, restaurant — needs the commercial licence (€99.99, one venue, no renewal). The venue guide →

About this work

This is the softest of the eucalyptus pictures. Several thin stems rise from the bottom and cross gently, carrying round leaves of different sizes. A few leaves in front are clearly drawn in pale gold leaf, with fine veins and slightly crinkled surfaces. Behind them, more leaves in muted grey-green and beige appear translucent, like shadows or reflections, so the branch seems to dissolve into the background. The ground is a warm linen texture in oat and cream, with faint brush marks visible. There is no strong dark tone anywhere; contrast comes only from the gold catching light. The overall effect is hazy and calm, like leaves seen through a curtain on an early morning.

Japandi is often explained as two traditions meeting halfway. From Japan it takes ma, the idea that empty space is not empty but part of the design. From Scandinavia it takes hygge, the feeling of being cosy, safe and at ease at home. Both prefer natural materials, muted colours and a few carefully chosen objects. A picture like this one works the same way: it does not shout, it sets a mood. The layered, fading leaves give depth without clutter, and the pale gold adds just enough warmth to keep the neutral palette from feeling cold. It suits people who want art that calms a room rather than fills it.

Hang it where you rest: above a bed, in a nursery or next to a reading chair. Linen, oat, warm white and pale grey walls are ideal; very dark walls would swallow its softness. Choose a pale wood, white or champagne frame and a generous mat. Soft natural light shows the layers best. It pairs beautifully with Eucalyptus in Gold Leaf and with Pampas in the Wind, another quiet, misty piece. The file prints sharply to around 91 cm on the long edge at 300 dpi, though it looks lovely smaller too.
