How large can I print it?

The print file is 7,680 × 4,320 px. That prints crisply to about 65 × 37 cm at gallery quality, and to about 130 × 73 cm at the distance you look at a picture over a sofa. Sizes, paper and framing, in detail →

Which paper or surface?

Gold on dark grounds wants a matte or satin fine-art paper (200–310 gsm), or aluminium for humid rooms; glossy photo paper turns the black into a mirror. The pale works also take satin and baryta papers.

Which licence do I need?

Personal (€9.99) covers your own home and gifts. Any business or space open to the public — a spa, clinic, hotel, office, restaurant — needs the commercial licence (€99.99, one venue, no renewal). The venue guide →

About this work

The Golden Herbarium arranges many pressed leaves in loose rows across a wide sheet: oak, maple, ginkgo, beech and fern, each laid flat as if mounted by a collector. Their colours run from fresh and deep greens through reds and ambers to gold, all set on a muted sage-green background that keeps the whole composition quiet.

Botanists have pressed and dried plants on paper sheets since the 16th century, building herbaria that still serve science today. A herbarium sheet is a record, but it also has an orderly beauty that collectors have long admired. Among these leaves, the fan-shaped ginkgo carries a special story: it is often called a living fossil, the last surviving species of a plant group known from fossils more than 200 million years old.

The print file is 7680 × 4320 px, about 65 cm wide at 300 dpi, made as sage green wall art above a desk, sofa or console on white, sage or warm wood-toned walls. The separate 4K TV pack contains 3840 × 2160 for the Samsung Frame or any 4K art-mode TV, plus 2560 × 1440 and 1920 × 1080. Hang Golden Ginkgo nearby to pick up the gilded fan leaves in portrait.
