4K TV ART IN GOLD

The Floating Gallery

Modern Architecture Art in Gold

A modern building of curved glass ribbons glows gold from within as it floats above still, dark water. The water mirrors it, while blueprint grid lines and a pale grey haze fill the space behind.

This work is drawn for screens: the 4K TV pack holds 3840 × 2160 for the Samsung Frame and other 4K TVs, plus 2560 × 1440 and 1920 × 1080 for older sets, monitors and digital frames. The picture fills the screen edge to edge, so no mat is needed. All about 4K TV art →

How large can I print it?

The print file is 7,680 × 4,320 px. That prints crisply to about 65 × 37 cm at gallery quality, and to about 130 × 73 cm at the distance you look at a picture over a sofa. Sizes, paper and framing, in detail →

Which paper or surface?

Gold on dark grounds wants a matte or satin fine-art paper (200–310 gsm), or aluminium for humid rooms; glossy photo paper turns the black into a mirror. The pale works also take satin and baryta papers.

Which licence do I need?

Personal (€9.99) covers your own home and gifts. Any business or space open to the public — a spa, clinic, hotel, office, restaurant — needs the commercial licence (€99.99, one venue, no renewal). The venue guide →

About this work

The Floating Gallery shows a modern building made of curved glass ribbons, lit from within so that every band glows gold. It hovers above still, dark water, which mirrors it and doubles its shape. Behind it, blueprint grid lines fade into a pale grey haze, as if the building were stepping out of the architect's drawing.

For most of history, walls had to carry a building, so façades stayed straight and heavy. Steel frames, reinforced concrete and modern glass changed that in the twentieth century, letting architects wrap buildings in curves and light. Reflecting water is a much older device: the long pool in front of the Taj Mahal doubles the mausoleum, and many contemporary museums use shallow pools the same way. This picture joins both ideas with the grid that every design starts from.

This modern architecture art brings a quiet, panoramic calm to a living room, bedroom, office or reception area. Its gold and grey sit well with white, stone and soft taupe walls, and with black or brass details. The wide 16:9 format suits a sofa, bed or long sideboard, and on a 4K TV or Samsung Frame the inner light of the building really glows. Hang it next to The Golden Arcade to set classical and modern architecture side by side.
