A single sunflower pinned at the centre of a ringed compass, its seed head sitting exactly where the cross-hairs meet, the smaller blooms falling away around the rim in decreasing size.
The page is split down the middle — bare parchment on one side, sea green wash on the other — so the flower reads as a specimen and an instrument at once.
